Everly

Well it’s no secret that I am terrible at blogging. But that doesn’t make any photos I put up here any less special than they are are. This one is no exception. This mama is a good friend of mine. She used to love on my girls for me back before she decided to start having her own…and then she went and had two babies in less than one year! She is incredibly brave and since her second has carried a heavy weight on her shoulders. You are one tough mama. You are so strong and your two girls are so lucky to have a mom who puts them ahead of all else and shows them what true motherly love looks like.

I was there to photograph her brother when he was born, then her sister and now her. Such an honour to be a part of your birth stories Armstrongs! They are so wonderful.

My beautiful friend had her first baby a couple months ago.

When I asked her if I could put this photo up she jokingly said I absolutely could as long as I title it “IM ALIVE!”

I have decided to start taking on a few births a year again as my little ones just keep growing, sniff.

Made In Water

This birth story gives me the shivers in such a good way. I want mine to be just like it when my time comes.

Thank you so much for being willing to share your beautiful story. Each time one is shared I feel that a bit more of the fear and the unknown of birth is taken away and is replaced with the reality of what it truly is…a miracle!

Ivor

I tried to only pick a few. Impossible.

I honestly have no words, so I will just steal some from Danica.

“We only just met…but I’ve never loved anything more.”

Lucy | Vancouver Island Birth Photography

Here is little Lucy’s Birth Story! She was my first second birth for a family! Just over two years ago I photographed her big sisters birth, which was also my very first! How amazing for these two girls to each have their birth stories to look back on. Thank you for having me there…twice!

The most lovely little Lucy is here!

I was never too big on the meaning of names, well I guess I had to be since one of my children’s name means weaver or duck and the other child’s means the sixth month. Haha. but for some reason I looked up the meaning for Lucy this morning and do you know what it means? It means light. I teared up just a little because I think that is one of the most beautiful meanings a name can have.

Light.

Welcome to this world little light.

Babies really do change EVERYTHING. Life happens continually around us and there are few things that bring it to a screeeeeching halt. One of those things are without a doubt seeing that yes, +, positive, || or whatever else a pregnancy test can say when you in fact are pregnant. Time stands still as you realize in that single moment…life will never ever be the same.

Not only do you, the one who is carrying this miracle, change but the whole world does. You become a mother, someone becomes a father, parents become grandparents, little sisters become big sisters…countless peoples lives will be different just because this one little baby will be born. What a miracle.

Each birth is an end and a beginning.

Heather your pregnancy is finally over…Charlotte welcome to the beginning of your incredible life.
